The Wilder House - Historic Savannah Vacation Rentals
128 Years of Southern History. Restored for the Modern Traveler.
A Gift for the Wilder Daughters
In 1898, local Savannah grocer James Wilder commissioned this Victorian treasure with a singular purpose: as a heartfelt gift for his daughters. Built out of a father’s love, the home was designed to be a sanctuary of elegance and family connection. Today, The Wilder House stands as a meticulously restored testament to that late-19th-century vision, offering guests a chance to step into a piece of living history.
Space, Style & Versatility
The Individual Suites: We offer two beautifully appointed two-bedroom, one-bathroom units. Each unit captures the historic grandeur of the 1890s with soaring 12-foot ceilings and original heart-pine floors, paired with modern chef’s kitchens for a comfortable historic Savannah stay or rent both units for larger groups.
The Heart of Savannah: Forsyth Park
Savannah's true heart isn't found on the busy tourist docks of River Street, but in the quiet, moss-draped streets of the Victorian District surrounding Forsyth Park. This is the city’s "living room," where the 19th-century architecture of The Wilder House meets the daily rhythm of local life. Staying here means waking up in the soul of the city—where the sound of the fountain and the rustle of ancient live oaks replace the noise of traffic, offering an authentic Savannah experience that feels less like a visit and more like a homecoming.
Private Off-Street Parking
Unlike many Historic Savannah vacation rentals, we provide one private off-street parking spot per unit. It is located directly behind the condos for your peace of mind.
A Prime Historic Location
Situated on East Park Avenue, The Wilder House is exactly 2.5 blocks from Forsyth Park.
